Who’s hungry?
South Philadelphia residents looking to shake up their usual dinner routine won’t have to travel far as a popular trend returns to Queen Village.
Queen Village Restaurant Week returns July 24 through Aug. 9, offering food lovers a chance to sample one of the city’s busiest dining neighborhoods through specially priced menus at participating restaurants. The event runs every day except Saturdays.
Restaurants throughout Queen Village will feature prix fixe lunch and light bite options for less than $25, while dinner menus will range from $40 to $60. The promotion is designed to encourage visitors to try new restaurants or revisit neighborhood favorites without breaking the budget.
Following a successful debut last year, the event once again highlights the neighborhood’s mix of chef-driven restaurants, longtime local staples and international cuisine.
“Queen Village has become one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant food neighborhoods,” said Cait Allen, president of the Queen Village Neighbors Association. “Restaurant Week is an opportunity to celebrate the chefs, restaurateurs and hospitality professionals who make our community so special while encouraging diners to experience the incredible variety our neighborhood has to offer.”
For South Philadelphia residents, the event offers an easy excuse to cross South Street — or simply stroll a few extra blocks — for everything from Italian favorites and modern American fare to craft cocktails and global flavors.
Organizers recommend making reservations early, as many participating restaurants are expected to book quickly. Menus, participating restaurants and additional event information are available through the Queen Village Restaurant Week website at https://www.qvna.org/restaurantweek
