• Byron Hartley has been named to the dean’s list at Plymouth State University (New Hampshire) for the spring 2026 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.69 and take at least 12 credits for the term. Hartley is majoring in Finance.
• Samantha R. Sonnie was among the 31 members of the University of Scranton’s class of 2026 who graduated from the University Honors Program. Sonnie graduated summa cum laude as a journalism and electronic media major. She worked with faculty adviser Brian J. Snee, Ph.D., associate professor of communication and media, on a thesis project titled “Conspiracy Theories and The Media: Q’Anon Theory.” A Villa Joseph Marie graduate, she was a member of Scranton’s cross country and track and field teams.
• The following local students were named to the Central Penn College dean’s list for the spring 2026 term: Amanda Littell-Dochnahl, a Criminal Justice Administration major, and Cameron Wilson, a Business Administration major.
• New York Institute of Technology welcomes local students Aubrey McGovern and Mukhlisa Kamalitdinova for the fall 2026 semester.
• University of Tampa has honored students who were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2026 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list. The following local students were named to the dean’s list: Molly Gretzula (Class of 2027 majoring in Allied Health), Kelly Walsh (Class of 2028 majoring in Actuarial Science), Ava Baptista (Class of 2027 majoring in Psychology) and Thomas McGinley (Class of 2027 majoring in Accounting).
• Simone Campo earned a degree in Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at 2026 spring commencement ceremonies.
• Aubrey McGovern has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship at New York Institute of Technology. This is the university’s highest scholarship awarded to incoming first-year students.
• Amir Graham has been named to the president’s list at Plymouth State University (New Hampshire) for the spring 2026 semester. To be named to the president’s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.70 or better and completed at least 12 credits during the semester. Graham is majoring in Exercise and Sport Physiology. ••
