Pea Soup Dinner – at 6 p.m. at the American Swedish Historical Museum, 1900 Pattison Ave., warm up on a chilly winter’s night with a bowl of Swedish yellow pea soup. Virtual Field Trip Friday: Bubs Candy Factory Tour with Q&A – From noon to 1 p.m. Join American Swedish Historical Museum for a virtual tour of the Bubs factory. Learn about the company’s history and have a live Q&A with Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Director Niclas Arnelin. Be sure to pair this virtual opportunity with a visit to ASHM in person to see the current exhibit, The Sweetest Side of Life: Swedish Candy and Confections, and a trip to the Museum Shop to taste Bubs for yourself. Dennis Farm Forum on Racial Understanding – From 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Museum of the American Revolution, the Museum and the Dennis Farm Charitable Land Trust will host the eighth annual Lonaé A. Moore Forum, “It Begins with Each of Us: Fostering Racial Understanding,” a conversation about race in the nation’s history. The theme of this year’s forum is “The Declaration of Independence and Equality” and will explore the ways in which the Declaration surpassed expectations but some say also fell short. Panelists include Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, and Martha S. Jones, a cultural-legal historian and the Society of Black Alumni Presidential Professor at The Johns Hopkins University. The conversation will be moderated by Adrienne G. Philly Beer Fest – At Philadelphia’s historic 23rd Street Armory, the event brings together beer enthusiasts to indulge in a diverse array of craft brews and local flavors.
