Ship it early

As the Postmaster of Philadelphia, I want to assure you that the U.S. Postal Service is primed and ready to deliver exceptional service during the 2024 holiday rush. Thanks to the substantial progress USPS has made under the Delivering for America plan — a $40 billion investment aimed at revitalizing the national postal network — our operational, transportation and delivery processes have never been more finely tuned. My dedicated team and I are fully prepared to once again handle the peak holiday season surge.

• Dec. 18: USPS Ground Advantage service; First Class Mail service

Dec. 19: Priority Mail service

• Dec. 21: Priority Mail Express service

Dems should support deportations

I am glad to hear that President-elect Trump plans to keep his promise to deport many illegal aliens.

I think this is a great opportunity for the federal, state and city governments to work together to promote a more lawful society. Connections made now could benefit us for years into the future.

Maybe we could even make police officers “great again.”

Phase One is to remove all illegals with criminal warrants and criminal records. This is a no-brainer. Who could be against removing drug gangs, felons and child sex traffickers?

Unfortunately, the mayors of Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles are already refusing cooperation. Govs. Pritzker of Illinois and Hobbs of Arizona are also vowing no cooperation. All of these officials are Democrats.

Gov. Shapiro and Mayor Parker of our “sanctuary city” have not taken a position yet. I wonder why.

I think Democrats who choose to defend “criminal aliens” against the safety of our citizens are going to pay a big price in future elections. In fact, the national Democrat party could be wiped out for a well-deserved generation.

I would urge all Democrat leaders to support Trump in this effort.

The people have already spoken and given him a mandate.

A decade of supporting American-made goods

Ten years ago in 2014, we began promoting November as American Made Month. During the last 10 years it has been another opportunity to encourage America’s consumers to look out for our fellow Americans and help the businesses that employ them to remain in business.

During American Made Month and throughout the upcoming holiday shopping season, we ask all supporters to focus on the Buy American Made Campaign and seek out and support American made as often as possible.

We all see that promoting American made will provide a better employment situation in the United States as a result of more American consumers supporting efforts like the Buy American Made Campaign. Together, we are promoting a positive campaign that has seen positive results for America’s businesses, American workers and America’s economy.

Help us promote the businesses making and selling products in the United States by forwarding our message and our internet address to everyone you know. For more information visit  AmericanWorkersRadio.com, where there are several links promoting our efforts. Thanks for spreading the word.

I welcome your comments and suggestions. Email them to me at Michael@AmericanWorkersRadio.com.
