The city election commissioners will continue their “Between the Ballots: No Days Off for Democracy” series on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 4-6 p.m. at the 10th Councilmanic District satellite office at 1619 Grant Ave. in Grant Plaza II.
The free citywide summer voter engagement series features voter registration, mail-in ballot application support, paid poll worker recruitment and community resources.
At an Aug. 20 event at the 6th district office at 6420 Frankford Ave., there was a DJ, pizza and “Philly Votes Together” T-shirts.
Vendors included PA Youth Vote, Philly 311 and the office of Councilwoman Katherine Gilmore Richardson.
Elected officials on hand were Commissioners Lisa Deeley and Seth Bluestein, Councilman Mike Driscoll, City Controller Christy Brady and state Rep. Joe Hohenstein. ••
