Dumb idea

So, Kenyatta Johnson wants to own a nonprofit grocery store. He wants to give a 30% discount. The one factor he has forgotten is this is a union city. District Council 33 will be salivating over unionizing the store. Oops, there goes the 30% markdown and up go the cost of running a grocery store. Three years down the road when the store closes, the employees won’t be laid off. They will be stashed in other city jobs to run out the 27 years to get their pension. Great idea, Kenyatta, a nonprofit that will work because it is backed and funded by the taxpayers of Philadelphia.
