• Kutztown University will have 29 student-athletes representing its women’s soccer program for the 2026 season, including Gianna Rivera, a junior forward and graduate of Archbishop Ryan. Kutztown is led by 19th-year head coach Erik Burstein. The Golden Bears have finished as PSAC runners-up in each of the last two seasons. The home opener is Wednesday, Sept. 9, against East Stroudsburg.
• The Division II Athletic Directors Association announced its 2025-26 Academic Honor Roll and Kutztown University was represented by 132 student-athletes, including Carly Walsh, an Archbishop Ryan graduate. For a student-athlete to qualify for the award, they must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have completed a minimum of two years of college-level work and been an active member of an intercollegiate team during the last academic year.
• Kutztown University announced 108 student-athletes are representing its football team for the 2026 season. The three-time defending PSAC champion Golden Bears are No. 3 in the American Football Coaches Association Division II Preseason Poll. They return eight starters on both sides of the ball from the team that reached the national semifinals. Local members of the team are Richard Paczewski, a senior wide receiver and graduate of Archbishop Ryan; Tearran Peete, a senior defensive lineman and graduate of Father Judge; Michael Gambone, a sophomore offensive lineman and graduate of Penn Charter; and Isiah Thomas, a senior offensive lineman and graduate of George Washington. ••
