Frankford High students learn about entrepreneurism

High school juniors and seniors had the opportunity to speak directly with a panel of entrepreneurs during 2025 National Entrepreneurship Week.

On Feb. 20, students from Frankford High School heard from Mike Barreto, founder and president at Metropolis Passenger Logistics.

Also on hand was Venita DeLarosa Ortiz, College and Career Coordinator at the School District of Philadelphia.

The students learned about beginning and running their own business and becoming an entrepreneur.

They also had the opportunity to ask questions and build their own relationships with the local business leaders. ••
