Following a run last year that saw more than 1,200 registrants, the 2nd Annual Philly Yarn Crawl will return March 13-16. It offers participants the opportunity to visit the following yarn shops: Echo Valley Fiber, Ewenited Stitches, Forever Yarn, Homesewn, Kelbourne Woolens, Loop, Luv2Knit & More, Main Line Purls, Modest Transitions, Purls of Wisdom, Roots Knitting Shop, South Philly Yarn and Craft, Stitch Central, The Longest Yarn, Twist, Knitting & Spinning, Weaver House, Wild Hand, and Yarnphoria.

Anyone can register for the crawl by pre-ordering a Passport or Passport/Tote that will be available for pick-up during the crawl. Free Digital Download Passports are also available at www.phillyyarncrawl.com.

Each yarn shop will be giving away free patterns as well as a chance to win a raffle prize. Those who visit at least four of the shops have a chance to win one of four big raffle prizes.

The Philly Yarn Crawl will be donating 5 percent of the revenue generated to the Tacony LAB Community Art Center, created in 2017 by Mural Arts Philadelphia. The Tacony LAB Community Art Center brings the neighborhood and the arts together to create a unique hub for learning, creativity and community engagement in Northeast Philadelphia. It runs an artist-in-residence program, offers art classes for adults and youth, holds open studio sessions for the public in its studio and maker space, and presents arts-focused events free of charge.
