The Philadelphia Charter School for Arts and Sciences, at Large and Dyre streets in Northwood, hosted a drumline celebration organized by Mad Beatz Philly on July 23.

Groups from Mad Beatz Philly’s West, South and Frankford Summer Drumline performed.

During the summer, 100 middle school-age students have practiced the rhythmic sounds of drums.

Two teachers provided by Musicopia taught the Frankford group. ••
