97th Annual Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Show – One hundred forty-five professional artists from around the country and Canada will exhibit their originals-only fine artwork in Rittenhouse Square, June 7, 8 and 9. Queerapalooza – Form noon to 6 p.m. Philly AIDS Thrift will celebrate the legacy and history of Giovanni’s Room with its second annual street festival on the 1100 block of Pine Street. A lineup of local queer bands, musicians, DJs and drag performers including emcee Robert Drake, Marcus G., Tony and The Kiki, Samantha Rise, Fyre, Icon Ebony Fierce, Ugli, Abi, DiscoDisciple and Gloom Eat. Attendees can also peruse an array of queer and supportive vendors offering artwork, crafts and vintage items, plus food and drink from local businesses, dancing in the street, books and merchandise curated by Giovanni’s Room. No cost to attend.

The Big Dill – From noon to 7 p.m. at Xfinity Live!, the world’s largest pickle party is coming to Philadelphia. The venue, located at 1100 Pattison Ave., will transform into the epicenter of the ultimate pickle celebration, brimming with good times and great vibes.

Free Pride Celebration and Concert with The Philadelphia Orchestra – at 7 p.m. at Marian Anderson Hall. The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts celebrate Pride with free plaza events and a special one-night-only Orchestra performance hosted by Sapphira Cristál. The concert will feature music by LGBTQ+ composers and allies including works by Bernstein and Copland. Joining in on the fun are the ANNA Crusis Feminist Choir, the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus and Philadelphia Voices of Pride. The concert is free, but tickets are required and will be available at www.philorch.org/pride beginning on June 6. Seating is general admission and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our City, Your Orchestra Live – at 7 p.m. at the Temple Performing Arts Center. The Philadelphia Orchestra is traveling up Broad Street to Temple University for a free community performance honoring North Philadelphia and the surrounding community. Featuring works by Adolphus Hailstork; Joseph Bologne; Chevalier de Saint-Georges; Scott Joplin; Florence Price; Duke Ellington; Jessie Montgomery; and William Grant Still, this concert highlights black composers as well as contemporary composers. Tickets for the concert are free, but reservations are encouraged and will be available at www.philorch.org/ocyo-live on May 30.

Patriot Concert – at noon at the Marian Anderson Hall. Join The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts paying homage to America’s independence with a free concert and celebration. Hear conductor Jeff Tyzik lead the Orchestra in works like Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever” March and “Liberty Bell” March and selections from John Williams’ scores for The Patriot and Lincoln, honoring the nation and service members. The concert is free, but tickets are required and will be available at www.philorch.org/party-on-the-plaza/. Seating is general admission and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Vegandale – At the Navy Yard, a diverse and growing list of food, beverage and lifestyle vendors from around the world, promising attendees an opportunity to try the best and newest in vegan products. In particular, the Philadelphia edition is set to showcase both local and vendors from around the world, offering an opportunity for attendees to try dishes and products not readily available elsewhere.
