Doll 10 Beauty, a cruelty-free cosmetics company based in Bucks County, is partnering with Women’s Animal Center as the sponsor of a free pet adoption event for the community on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Dolls for Paws Adoption event hosted at Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, hopes to place as many shelter animals as possible into loving forever homes. The event will also feature complimentary refreshments and coloring activities for children. All adoption fees will be fully covered by Doll 10 Beauty.
“Never take time for granted. Animal shelters across the country are filled with pets that need us, and the time for us to make a difference is now,” said Dr. Doris Dalton, founder of Doll 10 Beauty and former Mrs. America titleholder.
This marks the eighth annual Dolls for Paws Adoption event. Over 250 homeless animals have found new homes since the event’s introduction.
In addition to waived adoption fees, Women’s Animal Center includes spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and discounted veterinary services with 20% off the first annual wellness exam. Adopters will receive Doll 10 adoption gift bags.
“Women’s Animal Center assists thousands of animals in need throughout the region each year and unites pets with people to love them,” said Cathy Malkemes, CEO of the Center. “We rely upon the generosity of our community to support our work, so to have a corporate partner and friend to animals like Doll 10 Beauty is truly invaluable to us, and to our animals.”
Interested adopters are encouraged to arrive early on the day of the event and streamline their adoption process by reviewing the shelter’s website in advance for tips on coming prepared including who and what to bring. Adoption information on some of the currently adoptable dogs, cats and small domestic animals can be accessed on Women’s Animal Center’s website: www.womensanimalcenter.org ••
