M&T Bank recently held its fifth annual school backpack drive in the parking lot of its branch at 6500 Castor Ave.
The 750 bookbags were filled with supplies at the Aug. 22 event, which took place two days before School District of Philadelphia students went back to school.

The day also featured water ice, pretzels, snacks, water, a DJ, cornhole and Plinko.
State Reps. Jared Solomon and Anthony Bellmon and their staffs were on hand.
Vendors included Oxford Circle Mennonite Church, Oxford Circle Christian Community Development Association, the Welcoming Center, the School District Office of Family & Community Engagement, Family Promise of Philadelphia, Advantage Abstract Services and Graduate Philly. ••
