Fox-Rok 8-U wins Philly ‘World Series’

Fox-Rok A.A. won the 8-and-under Philadelphia baseball “World Series” with a 10-0 victory over the visiting Somerton Spartans.

The Aug. 14 championship game matched the winner of the city Department of Parks and Recreation League (Fox-Rok) and the Phillies RBI League (Somerton).

Frankie Beck and Gavin Gallagher each pitched three innings for Fox-Rok, combining to hold Somerton to just one hit.

In addition to Beck and Gallagher, other members of the championship team were Michael Groves, Jackson Moses, Brian O’Neill, Carter Donahue, Cole Gallagher, Lincoln Gallagher, Colin McKenna, D.J. Monaghan, George Dorsey, Matthew Lamaina and Wesley Mizvitowicz

Coaches were Mike Groves, Drew Gallagher, Brian Gallagher, Rich Beck and Paul Mizvitowicz. ••
