State Sen. Joe Picozzi held a grand-opening, ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at his office at 12361 Academy Road in Parkwood.

Current and former elected officials in attendance were City Councilman Mike Driscoll; state Reps. Martina White, Pat Gallagher, Sean Dougherty and Ed Neilson; former state House Speaker John Perzel; former state Reps. John Taylor, George Kenney and Kevin Boyle; city elections commissioner Seth Bluestein; Montgomery County Commissioner Tom DiBello; and former Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley.

Others on hand included Fraternal Order of Lodge 5 President Roosevelt Poplar; Vince Schiavone, CEO of Caring for Friends; Judy Dotzman, CEO of Special People In Northeast Inc.; Charlie Kueny, president of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce; and Vince Fenerty, chairman of the Republican City Committee.
