Neumann-Goretti High School is back in action for the 2025 flag football season. The Saints are part of one of the fastest-growing sports in the country as the sport has been backed by the National Football League, and locally by the Philadelphia Eagles, who supply equipment and uniforms to several teams in the area.

The Eagles launched a Girls Flag Football league in 2022 with 16 teams. Two years later, high school girls flag football became a state-sanctioned sport in Pennsylvania, joining 13 other states. The initiative has expanded to include more than 65 teams from PA and 31 in South Jersey.

Last year, the Catholic League fielded an 11-team division as Archbishop Wood won the inaugural PCL title by defeating Conwell-Egan in the championship game. This season, the PCL features 12 teams as Nazareth Academy joined the group.
