Great job by Alpha Roofing

I have a very nice story I’d like to share. My husband passed away 4 years ago. Things have been rough. My roof has been leaking for a few years, and Alpha Roofing has been there a few times to patch things up. Last time they were out, they told me I am going to need a new roof. Which, of course, was not in my budget. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, I received a phone call from JR from the roofing company stating that he and his partners wanted to gift someone a new roof for Christmas and, yes, they picked me. I was so overwhelmed. I’d like to share this story with everyone. There are good people out there.

No to the proposed arena

The mayor did a town hall in Northeast Philly about the proposed arena last week. You may want to ask yourself if the mayor visited the Northeast while she was running. The answer is no. You may also want to ask if this arena helps the Northeast in any way, and it hurts it. Instead of listening to the concerns of folks, the mayor is doing a roadshow to sell people on this playground for millionaires and billionaires. She’s letting three billionaires determine the city’s agenda instead of the people. None of this will provide any resources for the issues and concerns of Philadelphians anywhere. It is guaranteed to make more traffic congestion as folks go to and from Center City, with no relief from SEPTA. It’s a bad deal for all of Philly. Let the mayor and City Council know that you oppose the arena in Chinatown.
