• During National Student Employment Week, Hofstra University celebrated the impact and experiences of student workers across campus and in the surrounding community. Local student workers at Hofstra are Sophia Paschall and Makayla Egolf.

• The Psychology Department at Kutztown University hosted its annual Psi Chi Induction and Student Awards Ceremony. Alexa May won the Scientist/Practitioner award, which goes to the student who showed excellence in both research and fieldwork. Psychology Professor Dr. Jackson wrote, “Ms. Alexa May was an outstanding colleague. She was energetic and motivated, and she never lost sight of the goal of excellence in her research. Her project ‘Bridging the Generational Inequality Gap Through Financial Literacy’ was one of the highlights of the conference.” May, a December graduate of Kutztown, presented at the Frederick Douglas Institute Research and Creative Arts Conference in collaboration with Dr. David Smith of Eastern University, Kutztown University graduate student Julianna Rose and Dr. James Jackson. ••
