Sam Katz at Historical Society of Frankford meeting

The Historical Society of Frankford, 1507 Orthodox St., will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Doors open at 7 p.m. The program begins at 7:30. Sam Katz, president of History Making Productions, will present episode 7, Renewal, of his series Philadelphia and the Making of America. The film explores Philadelphia from 1925 to 1963, a period shaped by the Great Depression, World War II, political transformation and ambitious efforts to remake the city. The lecture will also stream live on the HSF Facebook page. The event is free and open to the public. Free, off-street parking will be available across Orthodox Street at Frankford Friends School. Light refreshments will be served before and after the presentation. ••
