City Elections Commissioner Lisa Deeley is promoting voter turnout, especially as it relates to mail-in balloting and drop boxes. All of the information is at vote.phila.gov
The deadline for mail-in ballot applications has passed.
Mail-in ballots must be received no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Completed mail-in ballots can be placed in drop boxes. The commissioners have 39 drop box locations, though the one at Vogt Recreation Center is not open due to construction.
The city commissioners have Satellite Election Offices across the city. Local satellite offices are at 6420 Frankford Ave. and 1619-81 Grant Ave., Suites 15-16. Both of those sites have drop boxes.
Other local drop box locations are at Cpl. Jimmy O’Connor Memorial Playground, 4330 Deerpath Lane; Election Warehouse, 11311 Roosevelt Blvd.; Engine 64 firehouse, Rising Sun Avenue and Benner Street; Fox Chase Library, 501 Rhawn St.; Pelbano Recreation Center, 8101 Bustleton Ave.; and Torresdale Boys Club, 4509 Linden Ave.
“All of our drop boxes are 24-7. They’re outside. They’re monitored (by camera). Ballots in these boxes are picked up daily and brought to us,” Deeley said.
At satellite offices, voters can also request an emergency absentee ballot in case of a sudden disability, illness or absence from the city.
Polling places will be open on Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
