Oxley Post gives fresh cuts to veterans

William D. Oxley American Legion Post 133, at Torresdale Avenue and Decatur Street, recently hosted a Cut-A-Thon, with all veterans receiving free haircuts, pizza, cookies and soda.

The event was held in conjunction with City Councilman Mike Driscoll and state Rep. Pat Gallagher.

Meanwhile, Post 133 will hold a children’s Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1-4 p.m. The public is invited for food, games, crafts and a magician. Parents are asked to bring a wrapped gift with their child’s name on it so Santa Claus can present it to the youngster. ••
