The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is teaming up with the Philadelphia Flyers this summer to bring the Flyers Hooked on Hockey program to campers across the region.

Led by Flyers alumni and the Flyers community relations team, the program brings street hockey directly to elementary-aged campers through ball hockey clinics at Y camp locations.

On Tuesday, Gritty and former Flyers enforcer Todd Fedoruk stopped by the Northeast Family Y, 11088 Knights Road.

The popular mascot and the former player joined the kids in drills, games and a “shoot on goal” challenge.

The Northeast Y and the other camps received a set of ball hockey equipment to keep the game going all season long.

Campers also received information on how to register for the Flyers Rookie Kids Club and Flyers Learn to Play program, plus a special ticket offer for a Flyers home game during the 2026–27 season. ••
