Tacony LAB Community Art Center’s Northeast 250: Threads of History project will conclude on Sunday, July 5, from noon to 4 p.m. at Glen Foerd, 5001 Grant Ave.
All of the flags that have been created throughout the series will be on display.
There will be a variety of make-and-take crafts as well as artist vendors, food trucks, historical organizations and a VIP speaking portion.
Jane Golden, the retiring executive director of Mural Arts Philadelphia, is scheduled to be in attendance.
As part of the series, artists have led craft activities at historic locations such as the Historical Society of Frankford, Ryerss Museum & Library, Tacony Historical Society, Pennepack Baptist Church, Trinity Church Oxford and Glen Foerd.
“The stories of Northeast Philadelphia are woven into the fabric of our city and our nation,” said Isabel Brown, Glen Foerd’s Arts and Culture Program Officer. “This project has created meaningful opportunities for residents to connect with those stories, contribute their own creativity and celebrate the remarkable historic places that continue to enrich our communities. We are honored to host the culminating celebration at Glen Foerd.”
