Glen Foerd named its 2025 Artists in Residence. Selected from among more than 70 applicants in three categories, this year’s artists are visual artist Erik Ruin, performing artist Lauren Putty White and teaching artist Cory Kram.

Glen Foerd’s Artists in Residence program was established in 2014 in partnership with Past Present Projects. The program is funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

“We are proud to welcome our 2025 Artists in Residence — Erik Ruin, Lauren Putty White and Cory Kram — whose creative visions will bring new life to our historic site,” said Ross Mitchell, Glen Foerd’s executive director. “This residency continues our tradition of fostering artistic excellence in Philadelphia. We look forward to seeing these artists engage, inspire and enrich our community through their work.”

With a stipend of $4,000, the Artists in Residence will create works that engage Glen Foerd’s audience and collections that include architecture, material culture, art and natural landscapes. The opportunity offers area artists unprecedented access to Glen Foerd’s historic collections, grounds and the Delaware River and allows each artist to challenge dominant historical narratives by focusing on issues such as environmental conservation, wealth inequality, race and industrialization. ••
