The CEI at Fox Chase is a national hub committed to epigenetic studies and collaborations that focuses primarily on mechanisms that aid cancer and therapeutic resistance. The CEI promotes academic-to-industry and academic-to-academic relationships aiming to achieve further discovery in cancer epigenetics.

After earning his bachelor’s in biological sciences from Peking University in 2011, Feng earned his doctorate at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center working in the laboratory of Maria Jasin, where he studied the mechanisms that maintain genome integrity during DNA replication.

Following his graduate work, Feng was a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Charles Sawyers in the Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program at Sloan Kettering, where he identified cell context dependencies and vulnerabilities of the ERG oncogenic transcription factor in prostate cancer.

At Fox Chase, the Feng lab will focus on cancer biology and transitional research, specifically focusing on the mechanisms of prostate cancer development and therapy resistance. Its goal is to make mechanistic discoveries that drive the development of innovative cancer therapies to improve patient outcomes.

Feng has earned many honors throughout his career, including the Pathway to Independence Award, PCF Young Investigator Award and the Department of Defense Early Investigator Research Award. ••
