Rep. Anthony Bellmon and Bob Brady blow out the candles on a birthday cake held by committeewoman Kathy Wersinger. Bellmon turned 35 on April 12. Brady turned 80 on April 7.

The 35th Ward Democratic Committee held a shrimp night fundraiser at the Michael J. Crescenz Medal of Honor Rising Sun VFW Post 2819, 6850 Martins Mill Road.

Ward leader Heather Miller welcomed endorsed judicial candidates and the candidates for district attorney.

Among those on hand were Pat Dugan, Democratic challenger for district attorney; party chairman Bob Brady; City Controller Christy Brady; former City Controller Alan Butkovitz; Register of Wills John Sabatina; state Sens. Sharif Street and Tina Tartaglione; state Rep. Anthony Bellmon; City Councilman Anthony Phillips; and Councilwoman Katherine Gilmore Richardson. ••
