The church, led by Pastor Evelyn Barnes, holds an annual cleanup on Martin Luther King Day, but that cleanup was postponed due to snow.

So, the church rescheduled the cleanup for April 4, the day before King died in 1968.

Among those taking part in the cleanup were state Rep. Pat Gallagher, the office of City Councilman Mike Driscoll, Shepherd’s House Ministries, Boys Scouts/Cub Scouts Troop 372 and neighbors.

The day also included lunch from Fink’s Hoagies and a food and produce giveaway by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Nutritional Development Services. ••
