A night to honor Parks & Rec baseball champs

Torresdale 10U Majors players were Nicholas Grassifulli, Michael Rosenello, Landon Barker, Liam Gallagher, Thomas McCracken, Nicholas Salama, Patrick Zieminski, Brendon Clever, Leo Rodriguez, Miles Fanning, Conner Brunner, Michael DiDonato and Armondo Diaz. Coaches were Joe Grassifulli, Nick Barker and Derren Brunner.
Fox-Rok 8U players were Colin McKenna, Wesley Mizvitowicz, Brian O’Neill, D.J. Monaghan, Frankie Beck, Gavin Gallagher, Michael Groves, Jackson Moses, George Dorsey, Cole Gallagher, Lincoln Gallagher, Carter Donahue and Matthew Lamaina. Coaches were Mike Groves, Andrew Gallagher, Rich Beck, Paul Mizvitowicz and Brian Gallagher.
Calvary 12U Minors players were Leo Adgalene, Aidan Delmont, Thomas Donahue, Joey Rudolph, Logan Klumpp, Nolan Kintsch, Colton Snyder, Dominic Markley, Brecker McGee, Mason Comitalo, Vincent Smith, Jack Collins, Grady Wills and Tommy Raynor. Coaches were Jim Gallen, John Snyder and Blair Klumpp.

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation last week held its baseball awards banquet at FOP Lodge 5.

John McBride was the emcee, sticking to a baseball theme all night. He introduced the starting lineup, which included Parks and Recreation deputy commissioners Sue Buck and Rob Jackson, baseball committee chairman Greg Stepp and, “leading off,” guest speaker Andrew Lihotz.

Lihotz grew up playing sports for Rhawnhurst A.A. and Northeast High School. A left-handed pitcher, he played for Rutgers-Camden. Today, he is director of Philly Select Baseball League.

About 375 players, coaches, parents and others attended the banquet, which included dinner.

Championship teams honored were Fox-Rok 8U, Torresdale 10U Majors, Juniata 10U Minors, Somerton 12U Majors, Calvary 12U Minors, Roxborough 14U Majors, Roxborough 14U Minors and Feliz 17U.

Runner-up teams honored were Parkwood 10U Minors, Fox-Rok 12U Minors, Simpson 14U Minors and Brideburg 17U.

Players were presented with baseballs and Phillie Phanatic/Liberty Bell bobbleheads.

Meanwhile, Stepp and Jake Gratzinger presented a clock to fellow baseball committee member Mike Grubb, congratulating him on his retirement after 32 years with Parks and Recreation. ••

Fox-Rok 12U Minors players were Cian Allen, Billy Bender, Jimmy Clark, Bryan Cullen, Henry Haas, Jimmy Hansen, Liam Irving, Nathan Luig, Gavin Mayer, James McGettigan, James McKenna, Xavier “Kuda” Moore, Reid Ucci, Chase Cronin and Chris Garcia-Corporan. Coaches were Donald McGettigan, Daniel Luig, Jim McKenna and Paul Cronin.
Parkwood 10U Minors players were Kolton Bender, Kayden Creach, Ryan Elliott, Nicholas Marafioti, Aaron Moore, Ryder Rippin, Jaxon Roman, Joseph Tamarin, Jamir Harris, Jacob Hoffman, Ryan McClain, Lucas Murray and Colin Nolan. Coaches were Jim Moore, Joe Scipione, Dondi Creach, Chris Elliott and Tom Roman.
Simpson 14U Minors players were Giorgie Figueroa Martinez, Denzel Del Rosario, Sebastian Martinez, Jesyel Hernandez, Junior Concepcion, Christian Delgado, Jose J. Gonzalez, Christopher Garcia, Slandher Diaz and Angel Sabino. Coaches were Giorgie Figueroa, Damaso Gonzalez, Johnathan Delgado and Alex Sabino.
Roxborough 14U Majors players were Luke Brighters, Matteo Cavallaro, Nate Comia, Rhys Dixon, Nate Durso, RomanEvans, Dash Henry, Jesse Juhline, Luke Kebler, Miles Kowalczyk, Weston McLafferty, C.J. Rosanova and Carter VanFossen. Coaches were Jim Brighters, Dave Leonard and Rick Evans.
Undefeated Feliz 17U players were Lezthan Vega, Randy Martinez, Saeldy Lopez Santos, Raony Lopez, Yelker Pena, Dominic Garcia, Chariel Abreau, Calvin Castro, Lian Romero Hernandez, Jhoansiel Hernandez, Derick Dominguez, Ethan Sanchez, Joel Polanco, Robert Ayala, Jonathan Collazo, Robertiel Lopez, Jakob Colon, Jayden Izaish Gabriel and Breilen Caceres. Coaches were Gloria Valeriano and Jose Rivera.
Roxborough 14U Minors players were Danny Renn, Charlie Abrams, Zach Goddard, Bobby Dougherty, Jake Pownall, Luke Gunsior, Michael Breen, Austin Morgan, Ian Greer, Shane Guano, Patrick Guano, Parker Ritchie and Will Maher. Coaches were Dan Renn, Tim Breen and Mick Hannan.
Juniata 10U Minors players were Edwin Rios, Dylan Espinal, Elijah Flores, Noah Torres, Nathan Torres, Julian Martinez, Julien Camilo, Ramses Hernandez, Kenneth Ortiz, Daniel Gonzalez and Gregorio Patron. Coaches were Eduardo Sanchez Sr., Eduardo Sanchez Jr., Jose Torres and Heidi Camilo.
Bridesburg 17U players were Shane Sliwinski, Joe Young, Gavin Carney, Nate Santiago, Rob Reis, Vincent Cavanaugh, John Condurt, Na’Sean Deplante, Sean Diviny, Leeland Gurney, Robert Mendez, Jason Rivera, Brian Sproul, Jayden Thompson, Johnathan Trotta and Seamus Widman. The coach was Pete Trolene.

Somerton 12U Majors players were Tommy Bullick, Hughie Regan, Kolten Devine, James McFillin, Vinny Boyle, Joey Konopka, Nick Rimeris, Nolan Lukach, Andre Hamilton, Leighton Stirling, Luke Wilusz and Madden Kilcoyne. Coaches were Joe Konopka, Dan Kilcoyne, Brad Lukach and Mark Wilusz.
