Hessert Chevrolet, 6301 Roosevelt Blvd., recently held its sixth annual back-to-school backpack giveaway.
More than 400 backpacks were given away on Aug. 15. They were filled with crayons, pens, pencils, glue, erasers, notebooks, highlighters, rulers and folders.

The day also featured wood-fired pizza from the Pizza Wagon, ice cream from Mister Softee, soda, water, Gatorade, Greg the Balloon Guy and a 2027 Corvette Grand Sport convertible.
Q102 and Power 99 were on site with music, a prize wheel, a red carpet leading to a photo op, appearances by Nico Oso and Roxy Romeo and a chance to win tickets to Hersheypark and a Lil Wayne concert. ••
