The hoops fun begins at noon with the Labor All Stars vs. Media All Stars. Retired Channel 6 Action News reporter Vernon Odom will coach the media. Wayne Miller, business manager of Sprinkler Fitters Local 692, returns as the Labor coach.

The City Girls vs. Suburban Girls is up next at 1:15 p.m. The City Boys vs. Suburban Boys follows at 2:30.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public.

Proceeds from sponsorships of the All Star Labor Classic will benefit The Superhero Project nonprofit, which supports parents of prematurely born babies and all newborns facing medical challenges. More than $200,000 has been raised to date.
