Synergy HomeCare of Montgomery and Bucks brought home the national franchise system’s most prestigious award earlier this month. Tamika Hall-Kane, a Germantown resident who has been with the company for the last three years, was named Caregiver of the Year at Synergy HomeCare’s annual franchise meeting held recently in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Hall-Kane was nominated by Chris and Sharon Secchiari, the husband and wife duo who own Synergy HomeCare of Montgomery and Bucks in Lansdale.
Each year, local owners are invited to nominate caregivers who work consistently in their offices, go above and beyond for their clients and exemplify Synergy HomeCare’s core values of compassion, dedication and joy in their care for clients.
“When looking at the nominees for the Caregiver of the Year award, it’s hard not to become overwhelmed with emotion,” said Charlie Young, CEO of SYNERGY HomeCare. “Every one of these caregivers has touched the lives of those in their communities and the stories they tell stand as proof that the purpose of our work is truly valuable. According to the Secchiaris, Hall-Kane naturally radiates a positive energy that attracts people from all walks of life. Hall-Kane credits this passionate outlook on life to her upbringing. As a young girl, she spent much of her time conducting missionary work with her grandfather, who was the pastor of a Philadelphia church. Here, she would not only provide services for the less fortunate members of her church, but she would become their friend and companion. Years later, Tamika’s younger brother became a quadriplegic following an accident, and that’s when caregiving became the primary focus in her life.
“Tamika over-delivers in everything she does,” Sharon Secchiari said. “We never have to ask her to do anything – she already knows how to best provide help. Every day, she goes into our local senior living community with a smile on her face and brightens the day of every person she interacts with. Not only has she already served 62 clients so far, but she’s also made countless friends with clients, staff and anyone else who crosses her path on her caregiving journey. Whenever we need anything – someone to pick up a shift, someone to spread the word about the Synergy HomeCare brand or just a friend to lean on, we know Tamika is there.”

Synergy HomeCare of Montgomery and Bucks is looking for licensed Certified Nursing Assistants or anyone who is capable and eager to help others and has some caregiving experience.
