Glen Foerd, 5001 Grant Ave., offers free public visitation and guided tours throughout the year.
Glen Foerd’s mansion is open for free public visits on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., allowing guests to explore all four floors of the house, where pieces from the estate’s historic collection are displayed alongside installations by artists in residence. Guided tours are available on the second Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a fee of $10.
“The history and beauty of Glen Foerd are here for everyone to enjoy,” said Ross Mitchell, executive director. “Whether visitors are interested in architecture, art, history, boating, birding or simply a peaceful outdoor retreat, our goal is to make Glen Foerd an accessible and welcoming place for all.”
The estate’s grounds are open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk, providing the public with a scenic space to experience nature along the riverfront. Visitors can learn about the site’s history through QR codes placed around the property.
