Thanksgiving Parade Nov. 24

The 47th annual Mayfair-Holmesburg Thanksgiving Parade will take place on Sunday, Nov. 24, from noon to 3 p.m. on Frankford Avenue, from Rhawn Street to Knorr Street.

The grand marshal will be Ed Lloyd, of Lloyd Sixsmith Sporting Goods, celebrating 50 years in business.

Homemade floats are being accepted.

Volunteer banner carriers will receive six hours of community service.

Scouts will be collecting nonperishable food along the route.

The U.S. Marine Corps will be collecting Toys for Tots at Knorr Street.
