Blue Flame win game, donate money to charity

The Philadelphia Blue Flame, a police and fire football team, recently traveled to Ireland to play a game and donate money to charity.

The Blue Flame teamed with the New York City Department of Correction Boldest to defeat the Wexford Eagles and Rebels, 30-0, in County Wexford.

The Blue Flame also donated $10,000 to fight childhood cancer in Ireland.

The money was raised during a recent beef and beer at FOP Lodge 5, along with a contribution by the DePaul family.

Joe Hansbury serves as president of the Blue Flame, while Joe Lugo is the coach. ••
