The Eagles’ Road to Victory Bus Tour, sponsored by NBC 10 and NBC Sports Philadelphia, came to Frankford and Cottman avenues on Wednesday.

Fans welcomed the bus, which carried, among others, former Eagles wide receiver “Arkansas” Fred Barnett, mascot Swoop, cheerleaders and a drum line.

Fans received rally towels, posters, mini footballs and green beads, along with doughnuts and iced coffee from Dunkin’. They were also able to scan the QR code on the back of the bus for a chance to win tickets to next year’s season-opening game.

Party music played and green confetti rained down while the crowd did the E-A-G-L-E-S chant.

Among those on hand were City Councilman Mike Driscoll, city elections commissioner Lisa Deeley, Mayfair Business Improvement District executive director Donny Smith and the Rev. Patrick Welsh, pastor at St. Matthew Church.

Fans are hoping to return to Frankford and Cottman on Sunday night to celebrate an Eagles victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. ••
