Upgrades coming to Settlement Kardon-Northeast

State Rep. Ed Neilson last week presented a check for $398,513 to Settlement Music School Kardon-Northeast Branch, 3745 Clarendon Ave.

Accepting the check were Kardon-Northeast Branch board members and staff, including director Matthew Clayton.

The money will be used for some much-needed, long-delayed infrastructure improvements, such as a new roof, an improved drainage system, new entry doors and a paved parking lot.

The presentation took place on Dec. 17, prior to the Kardon Center for Arts Therapy choir holiday concert. ••
