St. Hubert High School students recently participated in their annual Dance-A-Rama. The evening’s festivities raised $20,604.33 for Our Lady of Confidence, an Archdiocese of Philadelphia school of special education in Willow Grove.

The girls danced for six hours in the cafeteria after class on Feb. 21.

Planning is done by student council president Allie McNesby and other student council officers and members, along with moderator Dave Schafer.

The girls smashed their goal of $10,000 by raising money in a variety of ways: bake sales, T-shirt and sweatshirt sales, pretzel sales, fundraisers at Nifty Fifty’s, Friendly’s and Chick-fil-A, candy grams sales, pictures with Santa and alumnae donations.

The event featured a DJ, speakers, drinks, snacks, musical chairs, limbo and the singing of the alma mater.

School president Lizanne Pando and principal Gina MacKenzie were on hand.

Many eighth-graders who will be attending St. Hubert also participated. ••
