Vote for your Philly Sports Hall of Fame favorites

The Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame has released the ballot for its 22th Inductee Class. The ballot is now in the hands of the Hall’s voting body, which numbers 224 individuals.

The Hall’s Ballot Committee narrowed the field to 39 selections, representing 19 different sports.

The Hall of Fame offers fans an opportunity to select their favorites from the 2025 ballot. Though not part of the official voting, the Hall of Fame provides this “megaphone” for fans to voice their opinions. Fans may submit their selections online at https://phillyhall.org/fansvoice

The annual induction ceremony and reception is Thursday, Nov. 6, at Live! Casino & Hotel.

Here are the nominees: Art Still – Football; Brian Dougherty – Lacrosse; Christy Morgan – Field Hockey; Clyde Simmons – Football; David Reid – Boxing; Dwight Muhammad Qawi – Boxing; Eddie Coyle – Paralympics-Powerlifting; Erik Williams – Football; Gail Ramsay – Squash; Gary Williams – Basketball; Gina Procaccio – Track & Field; Hugh Douglas – Football; Jack Bauerle – Swimming; Jim Foster – Basketball; Johnny Gaudreau – Hockey; Karen Borbee – Lacrosse; Mandee Amanda O’Leary – Lacrosse; Mary Ellen Clark – Swimming; Mike Rozier – Football; Paul Holmgren – Hockey; Tra Thomas – Football.

The Heritage nominees are: Andrew Matter – Wrestling; Bart King – Cricket; Battling Levinsky – Boxing; Bertha Townsend Toulmin – Tennis; Bill Holland – Motor Sports; Bo Roberson – Football/Track & Field; Charles Moore – Track & Field; Douglas Stewart – Soccer; E. Carroll Schaeffer – Swimming; Frank Spellman – Weightlifting; G. Diehl Mateer Jr. – Squash; George Munger – Football; Ken Myers – Rowing; Mendy Rudolph – Basketball; Ralph Morgan – Basketball; Roy Thomas – Baseball; Sherwood “Sherrie” Magee – Baseball; Virginia Allen – Field Hockey. ••
