Just for the Kids Education Foundation announces Classroom Project Awards

More than $8,000 will help Bensalem teachers achieve their respective educational goals and enhance their classroom presentations

At the Nov. 26 Bensalem school board meeting, the Just for the Kids Education Foundation board announced the recipients of the Classroom Project Awards for the 2024-25 school year. 

Just for the Kids has been funding Classroom Projects since 1996, with more than $500,000 going directly into the classrooms of all nine Bensalem schools. These projects help teachers achieve their respective educational goals and enhance their classroom presentations.

The 13 projects that will receive funding totaling $8,147.64 are:

  • Belmont Hills Elementary School: Jacqueline Smedley, English Label Cards, $750
  • Cornwells Elementary School: Aimee Krause, Canvas and Crescendo, $743.96; Julie Ann Primavera, Author Day, $750
  • Faust and Valley Elementary School: Molly Moran, Aark Wildlife Assemblies, $720
  • Struble Elementary School: Emily Fischer, Eyes of the Wild, $340 
  • Valley Elementary School: Michelle Briggs, Café Cart, $550; Michelle Briggs, Club Ophelia, $750; Grace Mazzeo, Global Culture Club, $550
  • Bensalem High School: Ashlee Bartol, Glass Works, $496.84; Tiffany Kitner, Stained Glass and Mosaics, $500; Chelsea Root, Owls Program Maker’s Market, $496.84; Lisa Tokmajian, Mock Trial, $750; Lisa Tokmajian, PA Junior Academy of Science, $750
