Spectacular weather and a fantastic cause set the stage for the 25th annual Family Service Drive for Youth Golf Outing, which was recently held at Jericho National Golf Club in New Hope. The fundraiser brought in $88,000, all of which will go toward supporting the agency’s vital human and social service programs that assist more than 30,000 Bucks County children and families in need each year. Participants were treated to a barbecue lunch, cocktail reception, dinner and awards ceremony.

During the evening awards reception, Calleigh Joyce, a senior Danaher Lynch Family Foundation Scholar at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills, was presented with the Susan N. Altomari Champion of Youth Award. The honor was bestowed by Family Service CEO Julie Dees, as well as honorary citations from Sen. Frank Farry, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick and Rep. Joe Hogan for her ongoing volunteer work with the agency.

Dees expressed her appreciation to Joyce: “Calleigh began volunteering with Family Service even before she started her freshman year. Ever since that summer, she has never stopped being committed to service, and her care for others has inspired all of us.”

Dees went on to thank all of the golf outing supporters: “Thank you, all, for making a lasting, positive impact on those we serve.”
