P’unk Burger at 1823 E. Passyunk Ave. will roll out nostalgic Girl Scout cookie-inspired milkshakes to support Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania’s Girl Experience and Outreach Programming.

“Girl Scout Cookies are one of our families favorite annual traditions,” said owner Marlo Dilks. “We love the flavors, the sense of nostalgia and the amazing programs they raise money for. Supporting the Girl Scouts is so important to me as a female business owner and a mother of seven amazing girls.”

Passyunk’s organic burger, fries and shake shop announced seven limited-edition cookie shakes that all feature Girl Scout cookies now through March, or while supplies last. Familiar flavor combinations like toasted coconut and caramel sea salt, chocolate peanut butter swirl, dark chocolate salted brownie and mint cookie are all on the menu, in addition to three vegan shakes. P’unk Burger will also donate 100 percent of quarters from the P’unk Burger Arcade throughout January and February to support Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.

“There are seven shakes, including vegan varieties, each in honor of my seven girls,” Dilks said. “I am so proud of them. I want them and every little girl out there to know – you will change the world one day.”

Dilks said she has never been a Girl Scout herself, but as a parent and small business owner, she realizes how important the sense of purpose that the Girl Scouts provides for young girls really is. She thinks that organizations like the Girl Scouts are more important now than ever before.

“Anything that helps girls realize their potential is worth investing in,” Dilks said. “In today’s climate, we have to do all we can to prop up and empower girls to give them the tools to break the glass ceiling and achieve their dreams. I am so fortunate to be on East Passyunk with dozens of other female-owned businesses. I want to inspire the next generation of leaders, business owners, restaurant owners and entrepreneurs.”
