Magic Gardens unveils new artwork

New artwork by Amir Khadar is on display at Philadelphia Magic Gardens through Sept. 15.

After the Flowers Pass: Works by Amir Khadar can be seen at the indoor galleries at Magic Gardens, 1020 South St., highlighting the work of the Minnesota-born multi-disciplinary artist who bridges the gap between fantasy and reality in otherworldly creations.

Khadar uses textiles and mixed media to construct a post-apocalyptic world that reimagines hierarchies in today’s society. Khadar liberates their figures and creates a visual language that centers on race, gender and climate justice. General admission is $15.
