National Treasure Night – Join the Museum of the American Revolution from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for AmRev Presents: National Treasure Night, an after-hours event inspired by the 2004 movie “National Treasure” and the Museum’s current special exhibit, Witness to Revolution: The Unlikely Travels of Washington’s Tent, which recounts the 250-year history of the Museum’s key artifact. The evening includes a themed cocktail reception in the Museum’s Rotunda followed by an exclusive presentation at 6:30 p.m. given by Special Agent Jake Archer, FBI Art Crime Team. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $30 for Museum members, and can be purchased at amrevmuseum.org.

Free admission for kids at Penn Museum – Kids under 17 get free admission Dec. 26-28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Penn Museum. All activities are included with Museum admission. Guests of all ages can make their own winter-themed suncatcher in the Asia Galleries, play an ancient board game like Mancala in the Sphinx Gallery, enjoy a “pop-up” talk about one artifact or participate in an interactive drumming workshop led by percussionist Joseph Tayoun. Each day at noon, visitors can stop by the Cookie Zone for a free treat while supplies last.
