Before daylight breaks, there’s still time to catch REV Theatre Company’s My Big Fang Vampire Wedding as part of the 2024 Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

The show, which is a product of co-artistic directors and Queen Village residents Rudy Caporaso and Rosemary Hay, premiered on Sept. 5 at Ulana’s Nightclub at 205 Bainbridge St. Upcoming shows will run from Sept. 12-15 at Ulana’s.

Audiences are invited to drink with Dracula and toast the Count and his singing brides at their wedding reception as the highly immersive cabaret features the re-mixed music of Donna Summer, Blondie, Connie Francis, Amy Winehouse, the Shirelles and Gogol Bordello.

Two bars will sling themed cocktails and a “Romanian gypsy” will tell fortunes at the start of the evening’s festivities. Costumes, dancing and singing along with the cast is encouraged.

“Vampires continue to exert an extraordinary fascination for people through books, films, TV as well as ballet, opera and musicals; vampires are a part of the zeitgeist and popular culture,” Caporaso said. “We wanted to tap into that fascination, and create a piece this year that would connect audiences with the gothic and fantastical world of vampires through music.”

The show is performed by Caporaso, Riley Irvine, Stevie Reynolds and Tabbie Wismer, and directed by Hay. Music is performed by local Philadelphia band Downdresser, featuring Mike Collins, Samuel Harper, Viola Pasquerello, Mattie Wentz and Diana Williamson.

Tickets are available at https://phillyfringe.org/events/my-big-fang-vampire-wedding/. General admission is $30, student/artist tickets are $20.
