Jazz Sanctuary Free Show – At 7:30 p.m. at Gloria Dei (Old Swedes’) Episcopal Church, 916 S. A Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Book Club – at Jet Wine Bar, 1525 South St., from noon to 2 p.m. An afternoon of discussion and crafting inspired by Ann Brashares’s 2001 millennial masterpiece. The event ticket comes with a drink from Jet Wine Bar, custom bookmark and craft lesson. Bring your own book so you can get it stamped with a custom “On The Books” event stamp. Also, don’t forget to bring your own blue jeans, or any other item you’d like to customize with an embroidery lesson. Head House Books will be on-site with a selection of recommended contemporary fiction for sale, inspired by the sisterhood. St. Monica Parish Clothing Drive – St. Vincent DePaul Conference of St. Monica Parish will hold a Clothing Drive at St. Monica Senior School, 2500 S. 16th St., from 9 a.m. to noon. Enter the school yard on the Porter Street side. Receipts will be provided upon request. This will provide an opportunity to give to a worthy cause and eliminate clothing in good condition you no longer wear. In addition to clothes, donations of household items, linens, kitchenware, sporting goods, CDs, records, DVDs are acceptable.
