Habitat for Humanity on June 25 came to the Lowe’s at 9701 Roosevelt Blvd. to build Adirondack chairs for new homeowners who will benefit from the affordable housing nonprofit’s work.
Habitat Philadelphia staff welcomed volunteers of all ages, teaching them basic construction skills. Volunteers assembled frames, followed by sanding, joining and staining.
Habitat builds home and makes home repairs, with the Adirondack chairs a perfect addition to a porch.
The pop-up event commemorated Habitat’s 50th anniversary and its 20-year partnership with Lowe’s.
