Carly Walsh

• Middle Tennessee State University congratulates Justin Boline for graduating and becoming a member of the Blue Raider alumni.

• Samantha R. Sonnie was among 65 distinguished members of the University of Scranton’s undergraduate Class of 2026 whose academic excellence, leadership and service were honored at a recent Class Night ceremony. Sonnie received the J. Harold Brislin Memorial Award for Excellence in Journalism. She is a graduate of Villa Joseph Marie High School and majored in Journalism and Electronic Media. She was a member of the University Honors Program and the Rho Tau Eta, the Lambda Pi Eta, the Alpha Epsilon Alpha and the Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. She was the Editor-in-Chief of The Aquinas and a club member of Royal Studios where she performed script writing, camera operation and anchoring. For three years, she had done a live radio show for WUSR, and she wrote articles for HerCampus, a No. 1 online media publication for college women. She was a member of the cross country team and the indoor and outdoor track and field teams. She served as a Liturgical Minister and a lector at Sunday Masses at the University.

• Kutztown University set a record with 255 student-athletes earning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete status for the 2025-26 academic year. Student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and compete in a PSAC-sponsored sport to be eligible for PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition. Local scholar-athletes are Richard Paczewski, an Archbishop Ryan graduate and wide receiver on the football team, and Carly Walsh, a Ryan graduate and midfielder/defender on the soccer team.

• Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions student Shehla Mall has been named to the Spring 2026 provost’s list. Qualifying students must possess a 3.5 or greater GPA. ••
