Relic display added at St. Dominic

St. Dominic Catholic Church, 8504 Frankford Ave., transformed one of its confessional boxes into a reliquarium.

The confessional to the right of the altar now features sacred religious relics behind glass doors, with lighting inside.

The Rev. Brian Connolly, the parochial administrator, said the display of the holy relics follows last year’s celebration of the parish’s 175th anniversary.

St. Dominic, the oldest Catholic parish in the Northeast, has also recently installed a Mary garden in front of the rectory and added lights to the church’s stained glass windows. ••
