Resurrection celebrates Asian Lunar New Year

Resurrection Regional Catholic School recently held its second annual Asian Lunar New Year Festival.

According to the Chinese zodiac calendar, 2025 is the Year of the Snake.

The Jan. 18 event featured coloring, drawing, a photo booth, Play-Doh, music and a Lion Dance by Philadelphia Suns.

Children placed coins in envelopes and “fed” them to the Lions to bring them good luck.

The youngsters also got to play the drums, cymbals and gong used by the Suns. ••
