Arrest made in Frankford killing

The Homicide Fugitive Unit on Wednesday arrested 43-year-old Siddeeq Shakoor in connection with the murder of Kenneth Kennedy-McLeod.

Shakoor is charged with Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Robbery, Violations of the Uniform Firearms Act and related offenses.

On July 11, of last year, at about 12:18 a.m., officers from the 15th Police District responded to a call reporting a “person with a gun” and a “male down on the highway” on the 1500 block of Pratt St.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim inside a convenience store suffering from gunshot wounds to both shoulders.

The victim, identified as 37-year-old Kenneth Kennedy-McLeod, of the 2000 block of E. Lehigh Ave., was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. ••
